Some photos of today's job. We were brought in by our customer to re-pollard two sycamore trees after one of the trees had recently dropped a large branch over the road. They had been previously pollarded many years ago, so it was well overdue, and they were a safety concern due to the size of the regrowth off the old pollard points.
By pollarding the trees, it reduces the risk of branch failure during storms as the new growth will be smaller and the tree will have less weight in the canopy. It also keeps the trees from interfering with the nearby properties and the power line that runs up the road and is adjacent to the trees.
