Today’s age of art and design is a very interesting one to be part of. Whilst advances in technologies, AI, mass-production and computer-generated creations being produced are prevalent, they are being balanced by people’s desire for a connection back to the human-made. The Arts and Crafts ethos is seeing a surge in popularity, and we are delighted to be involved and immersed in this architectural world.

A few years ago, we designed and installed this triptych stained-glass window, within a country house of ours. Pictured are two of the three panels, hand drawn at 1:1 scale and used for the glass artist to work directly from. We are thrilled to be given new opportunities this year to design bespoke stained-glass windows for a current Arts and Crafts country house project of ours. Scroll to see the finished piece in situ.

A hand-drawn pencil design for a 3-meter-wide ceiling rose in a Regency Town House restoration project in Bristol, UK. The imprint of a very large ceiling rose was visible on the historic plasterwork but with no images or indication of the original design available. We were given the opportunity to create a new design using motifs from around the rest of the property combined with new motifs that we specifically designed for our clients. Swipe for images of the finished piece.

When a client asked us to design a unique, bespoke kitchen for the new Classical country house we designed for them, we were delighted. Pictured here is a black walnut, brass and marble kitchen designed within an open plan dining and orangery space. When the sunlight floods into the room and bounces around off each of the brass features, the kitchen comes alive with delightful reflections and warmth.

This modest Arts and Crafts inspired home will appear to be a single storey dwelling from the front elevation, but will have all the drama at the rear with a full sunken storey and tall feature bay window looking out onto a courtyard garden.

This image is from an initial presentation made to a client for the design of their new home. A full selection of images like this one accompanies hand drawn watercolours in our presentations, to convey the full design with both interior and exterior shots.

Dramatic doorways for the fun of it. Not many will even see this view of playful cabinetry when visiting this home, as it’s only when leaving the luxurious family bathroom that it is viewed.

Exceptionally built by to our design, this cabinetry work was a joy to see created.

Looking through the doorway into the stairwell you get a reflected glimpse in the mirror of the rich up-lit Oak ceiling in the hallway beyond, and even a slight glimpse of the bathroom’s vaulted plaster ceiling in the cabinet mirrors.
