Last week we shared in incident in Oxfordshire where logs stored to the side of a stove caught fire, causing a small amount of damage.

Over the weekend we were alerted to another incident attended by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, Again, the fire is understood to have started with logs stored next to wood burning stove.

This time round the property suffered 90% smoke and fire damaged.

We cannot stress enough the importance of ensuring that combustible materials are stored away from your stove.

Please check your appliance instructions and move your firewood away from your stove.
