Here we are at the University of Bristol, Royal Fort Gardens, creating a ruin from a dying Maple tree.
This is to encourage fungus, insect and animal habitat whilst maintaining the safety of pedestrian walkways.
First we reduced the canopy then with chainsaws, axes, drills and a pulling rope we created different textures to diversify the structure providing homes, roosts and food for animals and colonising decay fungi.

I had to share this picture with me and my friend, the wonderful Alistair Pearson. We used to work together over 15 years ago and recently had the honour of spending some more time climbing trees, discussing the wonders of our living world...I feel very lucky to have made great friends along my way in this industry and continue to meet new inspiring people that I hope will be good friends in another 15years!

The frosty morning start was refreshing this week. Removing major dead wood from these Oak trees in Sandford, over looking the Thatchers Cider orchard. Such a pleasure to work with a dynamic hard working team.

Installation of these wonderful veteran Oak pillars to frame the steps of a garden in Stoke Bishop.

We incorporated the skills of my two brothers:
Robin Muscat to secure them in the ground and Benji Muscat Business Electrical looked at lighting designs for the outside space.

Today we said goodbye to a true gentleman. Arthur Brice pictured here on the left was a great inspiration to many, young and old. He will be missed and although he can’t be with us, the many trees he planted will breath for decades to come.
