A big project and some challenging moments in a cottage in the pretty village of Sherston in Wiltshire.
The original Bathroom to be divided to create a large En Suite. New doorway opened up from bedroom and original doorway blocked. Soil pipe, waste and feed pipes and central heating pipework for radiators all reconfigured for new positions of bath, 2 x showers, 2 x basins, 2 x toilets and 2 x heated towel radiators.
En-suite: has a free standing bath with wall mounted bath filler and taps, a low profile large shower tray with rain head and hand held, concealed shower valve in easy to access position away from rain head. Shower niche (inset shelf) has been installed into shower wall stud and this stud work continued along bath wall to create mid level shelf concealing new soil pipe run for both toilet positions.
Semi recessed basin fitted onto a bespoke basin shelf.
Concealed flush valve for back to wall toilet.
Borrowed light frosted window installed into dividing wall, ceiling skimmed with 8 x downlights on dimmer switch, extractor fan installed and all walls tiled with Caribbean 1200x600mm tiles up to mid height and 200x200 cream square tiles above. Floor self levelled and tiled with wood effect planks.
Guest shower Rm : Originally the airing cupboard, part hallway and entrance into bathroom. Raised plinth for shower tray to provide adequate fall in waste pipework, identical shower valve and toilet with concealed flush valve installed. Inset low level shelf installed in shower enclosure to maximise space. Pivot shower door, wall hung basin with chrome bottle trap. Skimmed ceiling with 2 x downlights and in-line extractor fan. Floor to ceiling tiling and floor tiling. Tall heated towel radiator.
