I’m Melissa - the maker and florist behind Lissie’s Makes, a small creative business based in Wrington, North Somerset. I started my career as a primary school teacher, but after becoming chronically ill

, I had to step away from the classroom. When life slowed right down, I discovered just how much comfort and joy plants could bring. As I focused on recovery, Lissie’s Makes naturally grew from my lifelong love of making. Blending my passion for all things botanical and creative, I went on to complete my floristry qualification - and I’ve loved every minute of it. Through Lissie’s Makes, I hope to spread joy and bring a little calm into people’s lives – sharing the beauty and comfort that flowers and plants can bring into a home.
