Totem pole garden in the Tipi Field at Glastonbury. Swift Outdoors latest creation (with a little help from the crew) and maybe some materials collected from your garden. Job done, time for a party.

All the hard work pays off on hot days (and cold ones if you are brave enough). So luxurious to have this at the bottom of our garden.

Lots for the bees at home this year. Year 2 of wilding the front lawn and the echium is putting on a good show even if it's not as tall as 2020 when it reached the gutter.

Not hard to guess where I've been this weekend. Planning trip to build a protective garden around the totem pole in the Glastonbury Festival Tipi Field. The pole and ceremonial gates are looking a little tired after nearly three years hiding in the nettles.

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away I am banking a lot of credits this year. There are about 6 weeks of the apple pruning season left, and lots more trees to prune.

A nice little job pimping up a front lawn. The owner wanted more year round interest than converting the grass into a wildflower meadow so we removed the lawn with a turf lifter and added ornamental grasses and herbaceous plants for height and year round structure. Then added a few hundred tulip and allium bulbs. In the spring gaps will be filled with annual wildflowers and veg (climbing beans, chard and courgettes).

Looking forward to seeing how this develops over time.
