This front step in the heights of BS3 was a very rewarding job. The original geometric tiled pattern was pleasing, but bruk. So the plan was to refix.
However the whole step was rotten board and joists.
First was renewal of the joists and reboarded the base with 12mm cement board (it won’t rot, like wood).
After inspecting the original tiles, it was decided to renew and this was with classic Victorian colours in the chequerboard pattern, with a little border on two sides.

For once I have a picture of before to compare old step with new. What an improvement!

The end utility room at the Sheridan residence was turned into a shower room for Nana Jan.
The shower tray was raised, which gave me the opportunity to squeeze some tile wrap in to the step.
Floor tiles are Victoria 330 x 330 from Topps Tiles. Grout colour on the floor and wall is Mapei Ultracolour black 120. The tile trim is black quadrant.
