Three vegetables that you can grow in pots
1 - Climbing beans or peas
2- Carrots as long as you give them enough space to grow
3- courgettes but make sure you feed them weekly
What vegetables do you grow in pots?

Ever wanted to deter slugs and snails away from your vegetables and blooms? Want to keep slugs and snails away without the use of harsh chemicals or sprays !? The answer……grow a pot of letticue and keep it wet and moist it will be a beacon for the slugs and snails around it and will help keep them off your other fruits, vegetables and blooms. Also garlic planted near by is another great tip!

Question about my barrel pond.
I have two pumps and one air stone and lots of different pond plants - is this enough to keep the pond healthy now? I realised I have been feeding the fish too much which made lots of excess protein and a foam but that’s gone now

From May through summer it’s the perfect time to take your soft wood hydrangea cuttings.

This is a guide on how to take your hydrangea cuttings and the key is good drainage and gritty compost mix

Alternatively you can root your cuttings in water on a sunny wondow ledge and then pot on once you have a good root system established #

Just a girl explaining the difference between strawberries that have had a liquid feed and strawberries that haven’t

I use tomarite on most of my blooms, fruit and vegetables and for me it works a trick also I have used blood fish and bone but not on my strawberries

I cannot wait until they ripen up and the kids can pick them off

I went in to buy water pistols which were out of stock but came out with four reduced Lupins at 50p each! It’s like they were being given away and I timed that to perfection: lupins are a perennial so even if they don’t flower this year they will be back next year instead.

Would recommend to anyone to always take a look at the reduced plants to save money
