Don’t panic, we have finally sold the shop and entire premises on 8 November having been here since 1979. We thank you all for supporting us in Hayes and surrounding area for almost half a century. I’ve been selling carpets in this area since 1964.
However we have relocated to the rear warehouse accessible from the service road car park by appointment.
Just call Philip on 07768 904085 and he will meet you and you can borrow samples and I’ll come to measure. No obligation.
There is building work going on bu the new property ownersbut don’t be put off. We shall be available until next November whilst we continue to honour existing contracts through 2025. Despite appearances we still have all the same ranges of Capet and flooring. It’s a little cramped but currently this is it. There may be a skip at the rear but just walk around it along the side alley. We are both in our late 70’s so it’s into gradual retirement and can offer you very special deals.

For 60 years, 1964-2024
I, Terry have been measuring, planning and selling domestic and commercial carpets throughout the UK and Europe,driving over 2 million miles and I'm still at it.
Along with Philip we set up Seabrook Graham in 1976 and our now last remaining shop of over 12 locations has been in Hayes longer than any other retail shop staffed with the same people.

Over the years you may have visited us in Selsdon, Orpington, New Addington, Caterham, Haywards Heath, West Wickham, Eltham, Whitgift Centre and St. Georges Walk Croydon, Berkeley Square, Bynea Wales, Banstead and Westerham as well as Hayes.

We were also import agents for some American carpet manufacturers and also for France Tapis, Nyland Mattor Sweden and Hammer Taepper Denmark and personally sell to UK carpet shops including the Channel Islands in the 80's-90's.

We inspired the now Sir Richard Branson back in 1977 to buy all his carpet installations from us for Virgin for the next 30 years on a weekly basis. As it also did for all regions of Berkeley Homes, under our North American Carpet Distributors trading name for also 30 years.

The reason for this post is that our appearance in Hayes is rather run down, due to attempting to sell our shop and front building and having moved our main showroom to our rear warehouse.
However, we probably have more selection than our Bromley competitors with sample books in the shop duplicated in our rear warehouse with larger samples and we now have lower overheads so offering lower prices.

So come along to see us. We have a lifetime of experience but we currently don't open until 11am and closed by 4pm.
If we quote and you don't like the price, we will fall over ourselves if you request something at a higher price, now wouldn't that make a change. But once we have quoted we can't guess what you want to spend.

Don't be fooled by false inflated discounts and sales, freebie offers.

We have the finest domestic from UK & EU that you can find in West London ID showrooms, celebrity faux silks, flatweaves and commissioned bespoke Kidderminster axminster designs for 5 Star hotels, theatres, communal stairways and football clubs, such as what be supplied to Crystal Palace FC for the entire stadium along with Fairfield Halls, Roof Gardens Kensington, Fortnum & Mason some years ago.

We are currently clearing our warehouse and we have many room size and small multiple remnants, mainly grey, that could be used for stairs and landings. Small remnants are good quality and priced at £10m2,. We can measure and fit if required. Many more in warehouse.

In the late 1980’s we had a Colorol China and glass department, selling Edinburgh Crystal, Denny pottery and Royal Winton. This week we started to clear our very large basement and came across a lot of unsold Royal Winton in dusty boxes that has been sitting there for over 30 years. We have now brought it all up to the shop window to sell quickly, Small items for £5 each and large items for £10. A bit more discount for multiple purchases. As Leslie Crowther said in the 80's, "Come on down, the price is right". Come and do some 80's Christmas shopping.

We are pleased to announce that that our shop will be open at 10.30 as from Monday 12 April. Pop in and say hello, even just to experience a non-essential shop again.We hope our queue will be as long as Sponge Kitchens next door. Now's the time to put some colour into your home.

Philip and Terry are celebrating , although rather low-keyed, 45 years this week of Seabrook Graham and both still work in the shop here, Terry driving around the Borough and all over the country measuring thousands of homes and Philip greeting customers and gazing out of the shop window watching Hayes change over the decades all this time.

Shop at home
Although our shop in Hayes is still closed, we are measuring, fitting and taking samples. We can also offer a supply only service where you arrange your own measuring and fitting. We cannot quote for both methods. Our pricing will be very generous as none of us are having a good time.

Our shop is currently closed until end of lockdown 2 December. This is normally our busiest month of the year and December is our quietest for new orders as it is too late to get deliveries for Christmas. Why couldn't we have closed for December instead? We continue to measure and fit. Independant carpet shops across the country are incensed that Carpetright are open.

We are pleased to announce today that we are back and NOW OPEN.
10am - 4pm Mon-Fri.

We have studied our guidelines and have set the showroom out for the current 2m spacing and directions, hand sanitiser on entry available.
2 customers/2 couples at any one time in the shop.
Customers who wish to have long conversations and browsing will require a face covering.
Please do not handle samples unnecessarily and all carpet samples handled will be sprayed with disinfectant and flooring samples will be wiped down between customers. Samples can be taken home. We have loads of new colours to brighten your lives, not just greys. Measuring can now be booked in. Hope to see you all in due course, even just for a chat.
