🔐 Another job, another happy customer! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This couple had been locked in since the weekend and couldn’t get hold of the estate agents because they were closed for the bank holiday.

A friend of mine who works in maintenance got in touch and asked if I could take on the job in Leamington the next day. Normally, I stick to the surrounding areas, but knowing they were stuck inside, I thought, “Right, I’d better get over there and help them out!”

I arrived, and within literally three minutes, the door was open! 🔑🙌

I changed the centre case mechanism and fitted new handles, upgrading them to a newer version of what they already had.

They were really happy to finally be able to get out and have the problem sorted.

And to top it off, they kindly left me another 5-star Google review! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

🚪 IS YOUR DOOR GETTING HARDER TO LOCK? DON’T IGNORE IT! 🔑

Very busy day today with a few lock changes, mechanism replacements and realignments — as always!

Here’s a tip I always give my customers 👇

If you’re finding it hard to close your door and you have to pull the handle up really hard to get it locked, your door may need realigning.

❌ Don’t keep forcing the handle.
❌ Don’t wait until the mechanism completely breaks.
✅ Get it checked and realigned before a small issue turns into an expensive repair!

💡 Want to help your mechanisms last longer?

I recommend 3-IN-ONE White Lithium Grease. It’s around £8 and is great for keeping the moving parts lubricated.

Give it a spray a couple of times a year — ideally before winter and summer.

👉 Spray inside the door where the hooks come out, and around the latch and bolt.

⚠️ DO NOT spray it into your locks or directly onto the locking mechanism.

A little bit of maintenance can make a big difference and help prevent mechanisms from wearing out prematurely.

If your door is becoming harder to lock, don’t wait for it to fail completely! Get it sorted before you’re left with a bigger problem. 🔧

🔐 LOCKED OUT? DON’T PAY OVER THE ODDS! 🔐

I got a call last night from a customer who needed help getting a gate open.

He’d already had a few locksmiths attend, but they were asking for around £750 to do the job 😳 — so he quite rightly turned them down and carried on looking.

He then got in touch with me. I came out, had a look at the lock, and within literally 10 minutes, I had the gate open! 🔓

As you can see from the photo, he was absolutely delighted with the result! 👍😁

Today I’ve been out carrying out several door realignment jobs, and I’ve already got plenty more booked in for the rest of the week.

With the weather cooling down, we’re seeing more and more doors needing realigning. Today we carried out 3 mechanism changes, along with a few door realignments.

Another busy few days! 🔑

Last night I was called out to a late-night emergency where a door mechanism had broken. I was there at around 11pm and replaced the centre case, getting everything working again.

And remember — I don’t charge a call-out fee, no matter what time of day or night you need me. 🌙🔧

Today I’ve already had a couple of jobs, including door realignments and lock upgrades, plus a few bookings coming in for Monday.

Today’s job 🔧

Fitted a brand-new mechanism and two locks today.

The customer had been having problems with the door shutting properly for a long time, which eventually caused the mechanism to fail and meant the whole mechanism needed replacing.

A simple door realignment earlier on could potentially have saved them the cost of a new mechanism — just a little tip for anyone experiencing similar problems. 👌
