🏠 👷‍♂️A FLAT ROOF COMPLETED IN SOUTH CAVE by Addy Building & Roofing Ltd 👷‍♂️🏠

This roof had been holding a significant amount of water and had started falling back towards the property due to a failed EPDM covering and rotten boards underneath.

👷‍♂️ We stripped everything back and carried out a full upgrade:

✅ Removed the leaking EPDM membrane and all damaged timber
✅ Reworked the falls using firrings to ensure proper drainage
✅ Eliminated the dip that was causing standing water
✅ Re-boarded with 18mm tongue & groove decking boards
✅ Installed new guttering to suit the corrected falls
✅ Finished with a reinforced polyurethane coating and dark grey top coat
✅ Removed all waste from site, leaving everything clean and tidy

👷‍♂️BOX GUTTER JOB 👷‍♂️

🏠 The lead box gutter had originally been installed in one length instead of being stepped correctly.
Because of this, the lead was unable to expand and contract properly during temperature changes, which caused it to crack and leak.

We removed all the old damaged and leaking lead and replaced it with durable polyurethane box gutter system to provide a long-lasting, maintenance-friendly solution 🔨

🏠 Garage Re Roofing job completed in Gilberdyke 🔨

👷‍♂️We recently carried out a full garage roof refurbishment

✅ Removal of the old felt roof and delaminated plywood deck

🏠 Cold deck flat Roof Converstion replacement!

🏚️ An old felt roof, past its best, leaking into the bedroom, causing discolouring and wet patches, upgraded from a cold roof system to a warm deck roof.

👷‍♂️The works included:
✅Removal of old degraded felt
✅ Fitting of a vapour control layer to reduce condensation risk
✅ Installation of 75mm insulation for improved thermal efficiency
✅ Installation of new 18mm tongue and groove roof boarding for a solid structural base
✅Finished with a high-performance polyurethane membrane roof covering for long-lasting protection
✅Replaced old fascia boards with new deeper fascia boards
✅Replaced guttering and down pipe
✅Removal of all waste

🏠 Ridge Repair from an eye view 😎

👷‍♂️ Addy Building & Roofing Ltd were called in after a previous repair attempt by another contractor had failed, leaving the ridge tile unsecured.

✅ Joe removed the ridge tile and cleared away all the old, ineffective mortar to start fresh with a proper, long-lasting solution.

💪 To ensure maximum strength and durability, we re-bedded the ridge tile correctly on fresh mortar and mechanically fixed it in place.

💨 This method provides a much stronger hold and helps prevent future issues, especially during harsh weather conditions.
