Holyrood Architectural Salvage We specialize in the restoration and retail of original fireplaces, doors, pews, wooden & brass hand. Visits on Tuesday to Friday are strictly by appointment.

No appointment needed for Saturday. We specialize in the restoration and retail of original fireplaces, doors, pews, wooden & brass handles, cast column radiators and many other reclaimed items. Some items are becoming increasingly difficult to source, so we also offer a large range of authentic good quality reproduction items. We also offer a range of services from fireplace installation to cast iron radiator refurbishment.

New lighting display now complete.

We've just added a dedicated industrial lighting section featuring 32 reclaimed pendants, factory lights and workshop fittings.

We always prefer displaying lights working rather than sitting on a shelf. It lets you appreciate the scale, character and quality properly.

Open Saturday 9am–4pm or by appointment during the week.

Today we picked up a wonderful mix of salvaged and antique pieces from a lovely lady in Innerleithen — items gathered over decades, each chosen for its craftsmanship and charm.

Always an honour to give these old pieces a new chapter.

A few little changes happening around the showroom lately…

The pub corner is starting to properly come together now 🍻

Really enjoying building these little themed areas using salvaged pieces, old signage and reclaimed fittings.

We’ve also been busy moving the ironmongery cabinets around and putting together a brand new display board for antique-style handles, hooks, shelf brackets and toilet roll holders. Trying to make it a bit easier to browse and get ideas for your own projects.

Still lots to add and tweak, but it’s getting there nicely.

If you haven’t been in for a while, there’s plenty new stock and displays to have a wander around 👌

What a great weekend I had! I took the family on a trip and we've been all the way from the New town in Edinburgh to Berwick Upon tweed and stayed the night collecting some new stock. Who says you cant mix business with pleasure eh

Total haul includes:

6 x 4 panel doors
2 x Glazed doors
5 x Antique wooden mantels
4 x Antique slate mantels
2 x 1950's wall mount hair dryers ( I think these will look awesome converted into wall lamps!)
4 x Pieces of stained glass
1 x Antique bathroom mirror
6 x Double throw hinges
2 x Wall lanterns (1 complete, 1 needing some extra work)
1 x Solid brass Edinburgh door handle
3 x Vintage folding chairs

These will all be getting added to our website as i make my way through them.
