A little furniture upcycle for a good customer

A little bit tight for space in that garage ever since my shed blew down but we made it. A wee healing hand from my apprentice for the prep

Degreased with virosol
Primed with 2 x Tikkurila Otex
Finished with 2 x Little Greene Intelligent Eggshell - Loft White

Few recent jobs completed between Buckie and Fochabers

Living room hand taped and painted, it was my call to get the skirtings and electrical stuff fitted before taping due to the timescale on the job

Walls finished in Caparol Capasilan - Egyptian cotton. Woodwork - Crown Acrylic Satin for a change

Floral Feature wall papered in Buckie, excellent paper to hang

2 rooms finished in a salon. Prepped and finished in a durable matt. Woodwork freshened in only 1 of the rooms , colour - Goosewing. Feature wall in the salon already papered by previous decorator

🎊🎊 Finally got this one finished just in time for a week off 🍻

Started at Xmas but done at different stages.

A wee modernisation to the reception area at an extremely busy practice in Buckie.

Staff room and back Lobby area done too which I never took photos of.

Grateful for the work from Mr Fadia as always

My wee sidekick in to help tidy at nights too

Materials used -

Amphibolin for the white throughout

scuff X for the woodwork

eggshell used for the grey pillar and behind the screen mixed to Farrow and Ball Railings

Did this full job about 4 years ago (post is somewhere below) and was back this time to give the woodwork a full freshen up

Last time it was all finished in oil based eggshell so this time it was changed to water based

Haftprimer used for the black and white undercoat

intelligent eggshell used to finish the wood, and little Greene floor paint used for the treds

Colours - Loft white
Jack Black

🤩🤩 Recent job finished in Spey Bay for another repeat customer

House is about 4 years old so had all the general settlement cracks etc. All coombes had to be retaped as they had all cracked. All tapes repaired and plasterboard re screwed where necessary

Customer wanted the ceilings downstairs same colour as the walls (Egyptian cotton) and the covings white as a break from it. Upstairs we took it all in the same colour to open it up

We chose McPherson's Eclipse for the coving as we also blitzed all cupboards throughout in white so it was a good all rounder

Couple of recent jobs completed in Buckie for some great customers

Everything well protected prior to decoration as standard

Both houses relatively new so involved the usual repairs to burst/cracked tapes. First job a lot worse in some areas of the ceiling as you can see in the video. All rescrewed and re taped

Been mixing up my paint choices lately so ceilings were Dulux Ultramatt, walls a mixture between Dulux Diamond Matt and Armstead Durable depending on colour choice. Been a while since I've used them but impressed with both.

Colours used
Dulux - Chic Shadow
Dulux - Swansdown
Dulux - Natural Hessian
Dulux - First Dawn
Armstead - Winter Avenue
Caparol Amphibolin for the white durable
Scuff X on the white wood

All internal tapes replaced, room all prepared and rescrewed where necessary and all tapes repaired

Ceilings finished in AR2 , woodwork in Scuff X for the white and Aura Eggshell - Black beauty for the doors. The classiest 'off black' around

This one challenged us, from below 0 temperatures, no power for 3 weeks of the job, no heating, blown fuses, countless extentions and other trades all trying to meet a deadline

Ceilings white, walls magnolia. Nice and simple like the old days

Ceilings and walls stripped, sealed with guardz and all re screwed, tapes repaired where necessary

All skimmed with Rola Nova. First time using it and impressed

Few hours to go and that's me done for the year.

Business wise it's been a bit of a shambles this year tbh. Large projects all ready at the same time, not being totally ready etc etc which means I've had to postpone loads of customers, but we've got there eventually.

Big thank you to all my customers for the work and my loyal customers for your patience. 10th year in business and it's busier than ever.

Thanks to my 2 subbies Matthew and Steven who have helped aswell when needed.

Hope everyone has a great Xmas, and I'll try and get more on top of things next year 🤣 🎅
