What’s going on inside our monster Tin Hat structure in we hear you ask???

Check out the photos for a sneak peak 📸

With the existing roof stripped and removed, the existing structural trusses have been carefully propped and supported whilst we set about cutting a new roof over the top of the existing structure

✅ New roof = Structural strength & Protection

✅ Old roof Trusses & Purlins = Aesthetics & Heritage

This project has certainly been a huge head scratcher for our Carpentry team but once again they excel & deliver top quality craftsmanship of which we have built our strong reputation on year on year 💪🏻

We have been tasked with building a two storey extension to the property on the left whilst the property on the right required their ageing outbuildings removed to create more exterior space to enjoy

Time to tackle the big barn on our project in …… Let’s get to it 🔨 🪚 🏡

This stunning barn is being brought back to life with a full refurbishment inside & out along with major structural works & underpinning to ensure its stands for hundreds of years more

With the roadside stone wall on the adjacent barn now exposed from behind the Oxman fences it’s all hands on to the groundwork & structural preparations on the main barn

With the initial groundwork completed we have carefully prepared & propped the existing timber frame barn structure with a counterbalanced engineered design to give us ample space to form the underpinning from the outside whilst the barn is held up above…. A real task of care & consideration whilst engineering the future of this Listed Barn

Both these ladies are key to the beating heart of Oxman Carpentry and we would be lost without them and all they do 🤩
