My Running Story
(For Tids)
Everyone who knows me knows that I’m not an athlete in any way, shape, or form. 😂
Two months ago, while on holiday with my mate Sean, I asked him to help me shift some weight. The usual advice: STOP eating junk food, STOP snacking, and STOP drinking beer. 😡😂🤦♂️ All the things I love.
I am a big foodie and love a good drink with my friends and family! My friend network keeps on growing, resulting in more food and drink. 😂🤦♂️
So instead of stopping, I decided to start running, and Sean Baldwin agreed to help me. My first run was a 5k in 35 minutes. 🤮 That quickly transformed into a challenge: running a half marathon on October 13, 2024, and a full marathon on April 27, 2025.
Sean clearly has his work cut out for him to get this chunky monkey through the challenges ahead and over the finish line in a respectable time. 🏃♂️💨
Both Sean and I are running in the name of David Turner, AKA Tids, for Pendleside Hospice. To make my long journey ahead easier, I would like to ask all who knew Tids & his Family, and all who know Sean and myself, to please support us by donating to the link below:

I will post my progress regularly so you can see the effort that’s going into this.
Thank you in advance, and please tick Gift Aid with all donations—it’s an extra free 25% to the Hospice.
