Tucked away in a quiet corner of Burnley yesterday, I swept this multi-fuel stove and gave the family peace of mind that everything was tickety-boo. 🧹🔥

As well as cleaning the flue, I was able to offer some advice on choosing the right fuel for their appliance. Using the correct fuel not only helps your stove perform efficiently, but also reduces soot deposits and keeps your chimney in better condition.

Investing in the right equipment is an essential part of being a professional chimney sweep, so I was delighted to meet Adam from Rodstation recently and chat about the different heads and accessories available for my rotary rod system.

It’s always great to learn more about the tools of the trade and how they can help deliver the very best results for customers.

I can’t wait to put this new Whippy Head through its paces! Designed specifically for open flues, it will help me achieve an even more thorough sweep and ensure I continue providing a professional, reliable service to every customer.

On my travels this morning I stumbled across the headquarters of TikTok UK! 👀

I was far too early to disturb anyone, but I’m hoping that next time I’m in the area they’ll invite this Northern lass in for a brew and a behind-the-scenes tour. ☕🏢

Until then, I’ll just have to keep wondering what goes on behind those doors… and whether they need a chimney sweep! 😆

This morning took me over Crown Point and into the Lancashire mill town of Bacup to sweep this beautiful ESSE Stoves and Range Cookers multi-fuel stove.

It’s always a pleasure to work with British-engineered appliances, and this lovely Lancashire couple are also the proud owners of an Esse oil-fired cooker.

After chatting with Robert and Alex from at the Trade Show last week, it was fabulous to see one of their stoves taking pride of place in a customer’s home.

One of the many things I enjoy about chimney sweeping is seeing the incredible variety of appliances people choose to heat their homes with.

It was great to meet at the last weekend, which I attended with the The National Association of Chimney Sweeps.

Not only did they share the story behind their engineering and the design and manufacture of their chimney cowls, but they also gifted me this fantastic CNC-machined sweep!

As a chimney sweep, it’s always inspiring to meet manufacturers who are passionate about their craft and proud of what they produce here in the UK.

Absolutely love it!

Earlier this month I headed down to Stratford-upon-Avon for the Annual Trade Show. 🎩🧹

While I was there, I caught up with the MD of — and during our conversation I discovered the brilliant engineer and inventor behind this piece of kit is actually from Padiham… just down the road from me! ⭐️

I think a brew and a proper chat may be needed soon ☕️

I travelled south to Stratford for the The National Association of Chimney Sweeps Trade Show, and Gala Dinner.

As well as meeting and chatting to fellow across the I met with and and invested in a little bit more kit to make sure I give my customers the best through using quality equipment.
