This project has only just finished, but I have been looking forward to being able to post about it from the very beginning.
The homeowner came to us looking to add some space to their living room, but didn't want to compromise on natural light. With this in mind, we designed this lean-to extension with two, large skylights in the roof to and a large set of patio doors in the front. The doors not only fill the extension with light, but also create the perfect transition between the home and garden. This is perfect for those summer BBQs, parties and just generally enjoying the outdoors!

Here at ACW Installations, we took care of everything from the initial design and the building regs, right through to the build itself, glazing, roofing, plastering and electrics. On this particular project, all that was left for the homeowner was to paint and lay the floor.

This orangery will probably be familiar to anyone that has had a quote from us recently because I show it to so many people!
It is certainly one of our most satisfying projects to date as it completely changed the whole downstairs of the house. Opening up between the existing kitchen and dining room and knocking though into the new orangery created a stunning, open plan, kitchen diner.

On this project, we took care of the whole build including the construction, design, the building regs, the structural calculations for the steel work, knocking though into the kitchen/dining room, the plastering, electrics, kitchen install, and the laying of the floor. We can't take any credit for the interior design choices, but we are very grateful to the homeowner for sending us some photos once it was all furnished and decorated.

Think garage conversions have to be dark, boring rooms? Well think again!
This project is the perfect example of what is possible with a bit of ambition, ingenuity and plenty of hard work from our fantastic team.

The garage itself was converted in the usual way; blocking up the old garage door at the front, insulating and boarding everything. The twist here was that it was then knocked though and opened up into the kitchen! The existing kitchen was removed, and the services were relocated into the garage area. Next, the new units and island were put in, a stunning herringbone floor laid, a feature wall built and the room decorated.
Heritage aluminum doors and the timber windows give that final piece of style, because anything less wouldn't have done the rest of the project justice!

Here at ACW, we pride ourselves on our flexible approach to your project. In this instance, the homeowners approached us with architects and structural engineers plans, and we took care of the rest! They liked the idea of having us take care of the additional trades, such as the plumbing, kitchen fitting, flooring and decorating, so they didn't have to.

You may have seen this project in one of our adverts, but it is about time it has a post all to itself.

The homeowner approached us when she decided that she needed more living space as her two children were becoming older. She was left with two options; move house, or build an extension. Moving house wasn't the answer as it was difficult to find somewhere that fit the brief and budget, not to mention the upheaval that results from moving home. This left her with the decision that building an extension was the best way forward... and that is where we came in!

Here at ACW, we pride ourselves on our flexible approach to construction, and work with you to put together a package to meet your needs. On this project, we took care of the entire build, start to finish. This included the groundworks, building works, carpentry, roofing, glazing, plastering and electrics. The homeowner opted to arrange flooring and decorating herself, although, we can do those too if you wish!

I think it is safe to say that this orangery has to be one of my favorite builds yet, and the photos speak for themselves. It goes without saying that the customer was over the moon with the final results, and it is easy to see why.

The original French doors on the kitchen were removed and the rest of the wall knocked out to create the large kitchen-dining room area, and the orangery lantern floods the area with heaps of natural light.

The Bi-folding doors were the perfect solution for the customer, who wanted to maximise their view of their garden and Suffolk countryside, but also wanted to be able to fold the doors back and have a fantastic way of hosting BBQs and bringing the fresh air in.

And if ticking every box from a practicality point of view wasn't enough, it looks stunning too!

The guys at Timberlook Windows & Doors really do know how to fabricate great windows and doors.

Here we have another very happy customer who no longer has old wooden windows. Some didn't close properly, some were draughty, but all of them were freezing cold over the winter.

This project was done in using Timberlook so that the home could keep it's traditional aesthetic, but still have all the benefits of a modern, uPVC double glazed window.

The customer also loved the huge range of colour options available, and in the end chose Pebble Grey. Only problem is that he now needs to go round painting his fascia to match!

The addition of this bay window was the perfect way for this customer to improve the curb appeal of their home, whilst also being a stunning addition to the living room itself!
The new bay and the window above it were both from the Timberlook range of windows and doors, and the oak sill inside finishes off the fantastic new space with a touch of class.
