With the days getting shorter and the weather getting colder. Looking after your property is more important than ever. Here are five IMR suggestions to prepare your home for winter.
1. Check Guttering: This time of year can bring a lot of excess debris to your gutter. Getting it cleaned and checked for leaks can save headaches later down the line.
2: Bleed Radiators: We all want to be warm and cozy when the frosty weather starts. This simple job will ensure you have the maximum possible heat when your heating is on.
3: Check Windows and doors for Draughts: With the cost-of-living crisis still battling our bank accounts, checking these could save you money in the long term as well as ensure your home is warmer during the winter.
4: Roof Insulation. Is your home properly insulated? Similarly to the previous tip, spending now on new and better roof insulation will save you money in the long term.
5: Insulating your pipes: Everyone's worst nightmare surely must be a burst pipe on Christmas Day. Insulating your exposed pipes will help against freezing when the temperature drops and will reduce heat loss!
