Visited a lovely Japanese garden in Toulouse, France last week Jardin Japonais created by Pierre Baudis - a French politician who loved gardens (who doesn't😌) ..so calm & tranquil. He left a beautiful legacy for the people of Toulouse and died in 1997.

The beautifully landscaped Zen gardens with the red bridge - which is such an important colour in Japanese culture. It signifies wisdom and everything sacred and rejecting material things.

Green water - whilst lovely for reflections is also there to represent wisdom & energy and the green colour shows the passage of time.

The tea pavillion is also an important element as the tea ceremony was bound up in their ancient history and valued for its healing properties..οΈπŸˆ΅οΈπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅πŸŽ... nothing like sitting down with a lovely cuppa β˜•πŸ«–

If you like to sit back and relax and have your Zen time - it's easy to copy some elements from these wonderful Japanese gardens.

So how have all your lockdown veggies been growing? I don't usually grow veg as love my plants and flowers too much. However, Ive now got the bug. Having built a raised bed I planted it up with different lettuce varieties and rows of Calendula (flowers of course... but dual purpose as keeping away the greenfly andn looking pretty). Next to my raised bed I had large bell pots with bamboo canes and runner beans. These have reached way to far skyward and I eventually pinched out the tops.

I also put breakfast radish, Beetroot 'bolthardy', rainbow Chard and carrots in pots and 6 varieties of tomatoes - also in large pots. I have Tomato black cherry, baby sungold, Shirley, Gardeners Delight and a stripy tiger one whose name escapes me...Anyway, here are a few photos I wanted to share which I took a few days back.

I will find the photos I took and post them soon..
