After a break-in, I had been struggling each night to feel safe. The alarm system in my home was old, something I inherited when I moved in, and recently I simply couldn’t get it to work. As a single mum with two small children, the peace of mind an alarm offers is not a luxury. It’s a necessity. I had tried everything I could find online but nothing worked. I felt helpless.

I rang AM-PM Security in the hope that someone might be able to guide me, and from the first moment I spoke to Peter on the phone, I felt a sense of calm I hadn’t felt in days. He was kind and reassuring, and most of all, he listened. He gave some kind advice and arranged for an engineer named Andy to visit the very next day.

Andy arrived just when I was told he would, and I was kept informed throughout. He was professional, respectful and quietly confident. He quickly found the fault, replaced an old battery and gave the system a thorough service. He even took the time to change the PIN, set a door chime (something incredibly useful with two curious little ones) and explained everything so I could understand and manage it on my own going forward.

There was never any pressure. I was given a clear idea of the cost in advance, and it was entirely reasonable. Most importantly, I felt safe having Andy in my home. He was entirely professional and respectful. That’s not a small thing when you're alone as a female, as inviting strangers or tradesmen in can sometimes be scary. But this was not the case with this AM-PM at all who have been wonderful from start to finish.

I can now set the alarm each night and sleep a little easier, knowing we're secure. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend AM/PM to anyone. This wasn't just a repair, it was a real kindness at a time I truly needed it.
