Late call out in Hengoed this evening - customer tried to solve a leak himself and ended up having water everywhere, through the ceiling and electrics tripping.

Toilet was rocking everything was brittle and seized.

Now he’s all back up and running, toilet secured, all new components and an isolation flexi for good practice.

Day 6 and we’re still pushing hard through the weekend for maximum progress 💪🏼🔥

Today was full-on “DIY SOS” vibes — all hands on deck! We smashed out a huge amount in 12 hours:
✅ Installed a brand new Ideal Logic Max 35 boiler and full heating circuit
✅ Removed and re-boarded the kitchen ceiling
✅ First fixed hot & cold for the kitchen sink
✅ Took out the small window and back door
✅ Got the bricky in to block up the old window and doorway

Big day, big progress, and the place is really starting to take shape now 👊🏼🏡

Day 5: We’ve put in a shift and graft today and things are really moving now 💪🔥

Today we ripped out the old boiler and the outdated single-pipe heating system — out with the old, new combi boiler and full heating system going in soon, making way for something much more efficient 👷‍♂️♻️

Meanwhile, Shannon has been absolutely smashing it, finishing off knocking down those pointless kitchen walls , she loves destruction 😂😅🧱➡️✨ Power to the women in the trade — it’s seriously great to see, and she proves that this industry isn’t just for the lads 🙌👩‍🔧

We’ve also battened the living room ceiling, over boarded it and applied pink SBR, all set and ready for fresh plastering. 🏠💭

Day 4: With the old fire gone, there was no reason for the chimney stack to stick around… so down it came.

Bit by bit, Steve took it apart and got the job done — no fuss. One less thing on the bungalow to go wrong, and one more job ticked off the list. 🧱💪

We also opened up the chimney to create a bigger opening ready for a log burner 🔥

Day 3: Bit of a messy but seriously productive day today 😅🔨

Got stuck into ripping down those bulging ceilings (they definitely had to go!) and reboarding everything with fresh, clean plasterboard 👌 There’s something weirdly satisfying about tearing it all back and starting again properly.

Dust everywhere, arms feeling it, but worth every second 💪 Onwards and upwards!
