A great tree to attract bees is the eucalyptus. It buzzes with bees late Summer early Autumn while in flower.

Only one sweet smelling bunch of sweetpeas today. The sweetpeas plants have got greenfly with this hot dry weather. Well I suppose they're insects. It will be interesting to see if a load of ladybirds arrive to munch them up or perhaps some bats. If not they'll go to seed and then I can grow them all over again next year.

There's nothing better than going out in the garden and picking a basket of home fresh produce for the day.
