The cinema is certainly the centre piece of this student accommodation project from an AV perspective, with various audio zones for background music making up the remainder of the project. Above all else the system had to be student proof and super easy to use so naturally, Control4 was the chosen interface. This allowed us to program straightforward controls for the staff, as well as restricted zone-by-zone access for the residents.

Here's a closer look at the awesome cinema and games room we recently completed in Durham. Features in this room include: a 9.2 surround sound system, 4k projector, cinewide projector screen, upholstered wall panels, hidden LED lighting, authentic movie posters, reclining cinema seats, raised seating platform with hidden subwoofers, bespoke bar, pool table, dart board and much more.

Whilst the loft conversion in Turners Hill was ongoing, we were also asked to build a bespoke cabin in the garden to house a Foresight Sports . The cabin itself is 5m wide by 7m deep and 3m high internally. It is finished with gorgeous cedar cladding to the exterior and astroturf flooring with part-painted, part-padded walls to the interior. The simulator itself is a Foresight Sports GCQuad with FSX Play, the very latest software from Foresight, as well as two additional teaching cameras. Other features in this room include bespoke joinery, a wall wrap to the rear wall with an image of the client’s favourite golf course and Artcoustic speakers for enhanced audio.

The second room in this wonderful converted loft is now a regal and relaxing home office. This was originally earmarked as a games room but the client was so thrilled with the result he claimed it as his new home office instead. The room features beautiful wooden panelling with walnut detailing, a bespoke media wall, OLED TV with full Sky and four Artcoustic Loudspeakers 2-1 Architect ceiling speakers with SONOS for music. Just look how close the finished article is to our original 3D design!
