Tulips!

Did you know that Tulips have both male and female reproductive organs, meaning they are able to self-pollinate! They are known as the perfect flower, as little work is needed by us to pollinate!

There are around 3000 individual varieties of Tulip! That's around 180 species!

Did you know that the simple Tulip was believed to be the reason the Netherlands went into a financial crisis in 1637. The price of Tulips was more expensive than gold! People really did need to remortgage to afford one!

You know you can eat Tulip Flower's, right?.. They are part of the Lily family, so compare them to the standard onion, garlic and asparagus! 😋

Tulips come in almost every single colour, but blue is extremely rare! If you find a blue one, you've basically discovered the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!

If you fancy growing your own Tulips, the perfect time to plant those bulbs is in Autumn!!

The Bluebell....

Did you know??....

1, Over HALF the world's population are grown right here in the UK? 🌎

2, Although they are extremely toxic in high doses, the juice of Bluebells was thought to cure snake bites?! 🐍

3, The Bluebell is actually protected by the Wildlife and Countryside act of 1981. Dig these beautiful flowers up and risk a heavy fine if caught! 🚔 👮

4, In Elizabethan times they used the Bluebells bulbs, which contain starch to stiffed ruffs, and the roots to make glue?... Certainly helpful in sticking feathers to arrows and binding books together! 📖 🏹

Another outstanding project finished for a lovely local family. We've finished the following tasks for this project:

✔️ Installed A Concrete Planter Boarder Finished With Render.
✔️ Designed & Installed A Wrap Around Deck Around The Front & Side Of Property.
✔️ Prepared Hot Tub Area On Decking / Organised
