For me, when I meet with a garden design customer, the first thing I do is ask questions about them and listen to their story.

Often this reveals a lot to me about what is important to them and what they are looking for from their garden.

I am currently working on my third garden design to enable the customer to remember and reflect on a loved one, when doing this its a delicate balance of remembrance and positivity for the now.

I was over joyed to get the feedback below from a garden design customer yesterday, its now full steam ahead finalising the design so Ecs garden care can look to deliver it in July/August.

I believe that garden design should be accessible to all, and our packages reflect that.

I really believe that having a outdoor space that meets your needs and that you truly enjoy can help you heal from the pressures of life and give you peace.

A one off clearance today near Cambridge.

The before and after photos show the work that went into it.

The customers have had a run of ill-health and the garden quickly got out of hand.

We are going back next month to do a tidy up of the vegetable patch, and to add some new plants.

Great way to end the week.

Working on a garden design is a process, and for me a big part of that process is getting to know the customer and spending time in the garden.

I have the pleasure of re designing a garden for a lovely customer who lost his wife, the garden was her area and she pored all her love into it.

So, I have created a peaceful place to remember her and reflect on a lifetime of many memories.

My week in photos.

Its been very hot and I have eaten lots of ice cream, but what a great week it has been!

Thank you to CCGardenCare what a great team we make.

We have enjoyed all aspects of gardening this week, grass cutting, trimming, weeding, and clearance, but my real love is flowerbed design and we had a whole morning of planting this week too, so that was the best morning!

Flowers from my garden.

I very rarely share things about my garden, but like most gardeners gardens it's my pride and joy, and my labour of love.

I am on a rest day today, so am enjoying a morning in the sun, looking at the fruits of my labour!

Its still early in the season but flowers are starting to appear, the slight of them makes me so happy.

Let's talk garden design!

Photos, soil tests, measurements, sketches, mind maps, mood boards, customer questionnaires,

process here at ecs.

As a designer I get a feel quite quickly for an area and after the first consultation I normally have most of my ideas down.

As much as I love being creative and designing the area, my big passion is seeing it come into reality. Here at ecs we also have the team and skills to deliver your dream design.

Plant knowledge and flowerbed design is our speciality.

Below is a 3 tier garden design just completed, it will start to be delivered in January 2026.

It's called, The Layered Retreat.

If you need help with making the most of your garden or outside space please feel free to drop us a line, winter is the best time to start the design process.

We have availability to deliver any design before May 2026.
