Transforming a modest 1860s bungalow into a three-bedroom family home with detached garage.

The design retains the historic core around its original inglenook fireplace, while new interventions introduce traditional board-on-board timber cladding, stained black, paired with handmade red clay tiles. Integrated flush solar PV boosts sustainability without compromising the sensitive detailing.

The scheme was commended by the Parish Council as a valuable addition to the area and gained planning approval ahead of schedule.

If you’re considering a renovation, extension or a new-build project, we’d love to hear from you. Contact details are in our bio.

Deep foundations on a conservatory? Rare find! Our Whitstable client is set to transform this space and fully integrate it with their home.

Thinking of doing the same? The first step is to chat with an engineer. They’ll confirm whether your conservatory can handle the weight of a proper roof, helping you plan with confidence and avoid setbacks later on.

With just some finishing touches, the client couldn't resist moving into their working from home spot in their refurbished home. The client originally wanted to extend but we convinced them to save money with a few simple moves within the existing footprint of the house. Extremely happy with the result and thanks to & for your hard work.
