Did you know that some outbuildings like this can often be built under Permitted Development rights without the need for a full planning application?

Permitted Development rights are national planning rules that allow certain extensions, loft conversions and outbuildings to be constructed without submitting a planning application. Depending on the size, construction and intended use, some outbuildings may also be exempt from Building Regulations approval.

That's exactly what I used to create this building at the end of our garden.

It's nothing extravagant, but it's practical, versatile and has been the perfect addition to our home since space became a little tighter with three children. We use it as a hobby room, home office and additional entertaining space when family and friends visit during the summer months.
