🚪✨ Full Ground-Floor Transformation – Engineered Oak Flooring ✨🏡

A returning customer got in touch after having engineered oak flooring fitted in their rear extension a few years back. They loved it so much that they wanted the same floor continued right through the front room and full hallway — all seamlessly joined into the existing floor.

This one needed:
🔨 Careful removal of old flooring
🔧 Sub-floor prep & self-levelling to bring everything up perfectly
🪵 Precision joining onto the extension flooring so it flows as one continuous space
👌 Fully glued, tight, clean and solid

Swipe through the before and afters — what a difference! The whole ground floor now ties together beautifully with warm, natural engineered oak.

✨ Skirting Upgrade – Same Property as the 1930s Door Install ✨

Another stage of this transformation wrapped up — new skirting fitted throughout the house.

This section was a fun one… the skirting had to run cleanly into the staircase, which meant plenty of careful cutting and shaping to get the lines flowing properly.

🔧 All joints were chamfered so the filler can bond better and leave a seamless, crisp finish once painted.

A bit of graft, a lot of detail, and another tidy result for the customer.

✨ 1930s Door Makeover – Full House Transformation! ✨

Loved this job! The customer wanted to bring some proper character back into the home, so I fitted a full set of 1930s style doors throughout the property.

👇 What got done:
🚪 Downstairs: 1930s glazed doors – loads more light and a much cleaner look.
🚪 Upstairs: 4x unglazed 1930s doors to match the style perfectly.
🔧 All doors trimmed, altered, and fitted into the original frames — no two the same in these older houses!
✨ Finished off with brassed handles and latches for that classic touch.

Called out for a fit-only job after the customer purchased this lovely 6-panel pine door. The previous door had been fitted the wrong way around and the workmanship left a lot to be desired — old hinge positions and latch holes were all over the place.

I removed the old door, installed the new one properly, and carefully filled and blended all previous hinge and latch cut-outs to give the frame a clean, tidy finish.

A simple change, but it makes a massive difference to the look of the room. Another job completed to a high standard by Prothero Carpentry & UPVC.

Fire Exit UPVC Door Adjustment 🔧🚪

Contacted by one of my regular (and awesome!) clients who was preparing a property to go on the market. The fire exit door hadn’t been fitted correctly from the start, and over the years it had dropped significantly, leaving the head sitting over 25mm out.

The customer needed it sorted quickly so the property could look its best for the estate agent photos.

✅ Adjusted the hinges and carefully wedged the glass up to the maximum to bring everything back in line
✅ Re-secured the frame to help stabilise the door
✅ Advised that a full renewal or refit will be needed in the future for a long-term fix

All completed just in time for the property photos — a tidy, professional improvement that makes all the difference for presentation.

Room Divide & Door Installation 🔨🚪

Working alongside one of my regular builders on this project — the job was to divide a large living area with a new stud partition, fully insulated and plasterboarded to create two separate rooms.

✅ Built and framed the stud partition
✅ Created and framed two new door openings
✅ Finished off ready for plastering by Invasion Builders

A tidy transformation that completely changes how the space works — giving the customer extra privacy and functionality while keeping a clean, seamless finish throughout.
