Hey everyone 👋 Just a little update from us!

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately — mainly because we’ve been extremely busy! There simply aren’t enough hours in the day! 😅

Over the past week alone, I’ve quoted around 11 jobs, and while I completely understand that we may not be within everyone’s budget, I’d just like to say something about pricing.

Please respect the price you’re given. I don’t overcharge, and I don’t undercharge. I know the standard of work we provide, the time and preparation that goes into every job, and I charge what I believe is a fair price for that service.

We’re not just turning up with a brush and a tin of paint. 🎨

We use proper protective equipment to protect your floors, carpets, furniture and surfaces, and we have two dustless sanding systems to help keep your home as clean as possible throughout the work.

With 10+ years of experience and full insurance, we take pride in doing things properly — from the preparation right through to the finished result.

So, when we’re asked if we can match the price of another business that may have half the equipment, setup or preparation we do, I’ll be honest… it can feel a little insulting.

We completely understand that our price won’t be feasible for everyone, and that’s absolutely fine. There are plenty of different tradespeople and budgets out there, and we respect that.

But what we’re here to provide is a quality, professional and long-lasting finish — not a quick makeover that needs doing again next year.

You’re paying for the experience, preparation, equipment, protection, workmanship and finish — not just the hours we’re physically in your home.

Decorators get absolutely shafted compared to most trades.

We’re the last trade in.

Which means somehow…

The plasterer’s rough bits become our problem.
The carpenter’s gaps become our problem.
The builder’s damage becomes our problem.
Every crack, dent, hole, chase and bodged repair becomes our problem.

Because at the end of the job, nobody sees who caused it.

They see who decorated over it.

So we fill it.
Sand it.
Caulk it.
Prime it.
Repair it.
Make it disappear.

Then we get:

“Why is the decorating taking so long?”

Because half the bloody job isn’t decorating. 😂

But here’s the bit that gets me…

Quote £1,000 and finish quicker than expected because you’re experienced and efficient?

“Oh, will it be cheaper then?”

Yet if that same £1,000 job takes you 3 days LONGER than expected…

Nobody says:

“Here mate, have another £300.”

Funny that. 😂

You’re not paying a tradesman for how slowly they can do a job.

You’re paying for knowing HOW to do the job.

Years of experience shouldn’t make you worth LESS because you can do something faster.

And decorating isn’t “just painting.”

The painting is usually the easiest fu***ng part.

It’s everything we have to put right before we can even open the tin.

Final stage of the nursery completed!!!!

What was meant to be a 6-8 week evening/weekend job, turned in to a gruelling 4/5 month job, from 1am finished, 18 hour weekend shifts, this job had it all.

I’ll hold my hand up, I hate turning down contracts when I’ve been recommended, especially if I think it can be done in the evenings, this job was an eye opener, from now on, no more evenings. Family time & health is more important.

Living room completed to the highest of standard

New customer of mine whom wanted me to complete there hallway last year when unfortunately I had no availability left as soon as they wanted, so they got someone else in which gave them a bad experience.

My main aim on this job was to gain there trust & show them that all tradesmen are not bad & properly prep before paint.

Safe to say, happy results all around ✅

I always try to post every job I complete and keep you all up to date with my work, but with how busy things have been lately, a few projects have slipped through the cracks!

Nice little job done to wrap up the week, it’s always nice to work with a different colours instead of the more common neutrals for a change!

This job was cracking.. literally!

As a professional painter & decorator, we all get a job that turns in to a nightmare one, at least once a year! This was it.

4/5 days longer it took than originally planned, but as always, it was never rushed even when running behind on jobs, quality workmanship, everytime.

Minor filling to plaster repairs, this job had it all.

I didn’t realise how much prep we done and how far the job came until I looked back on the photos, myself & the customer is happy with the outcome.
