My client, Clare, wanted to transform her living room into a more sophisticated, "grown-up" space where she could relax after a long day running her successful business. She felt that her current decor no longer suited her style and desired a more polished look.

I implemented several simple yet effective ideas to achieve her vision. First, we decided to keep the existing doors but updated the colour scheme to a light taupe for a more upscale feel. We also added panelling and replaced the flooring to enhance the overall aesthetic.

Additionally, we introduced coving to add character and elevate the space. To create a more elegant and relaxed atmosphere, we installed floor-to-ceiling soft linen curtains behind the coving. This resulted in a beautifully designed room that Clare can truly enjoy.

To keep costs at a minimum, this was an e-design project. Clare gave me all the measurements and photos of her room. I was also able to advise her on costs and timescales, as Clare wanted to project-manage the refurbishment herself and procure all fixtures, fittings, and furniture.
