This week's installation consisted of a 3.5kw .uk aerotherm plus unit replacing this gas boiler that was costing to much to repair to justify keeping. Customer was keen to go renwables and with this costing less than a new boiler replacement, it was a no brainer.

With clever software helping to work out the existing cylinder efficiency, we were able to save the existing cylinder for the customer to save on cost.

Well done to the team on getting this done in the heat. Some loft work was done aswell and that was seriously hot.

Catching up with this system on its 2nd year service. This was a new build that had a grossly oversized heatpump. And the had more problems than my mental health🤣. The customerer had several companies come to look and didn't hear back. I can't imagine why.🫣

We went back to basics and carried out a room by room heatloss. This allowed us to see that the lowest performing radiator/emitter was able to run at 50dc. So we had our overall heat loss and desgin flow temp.

Now for the biggest issue. The whole house was on 10mm plastic pipe. Not knowing where and how long the runs where, we made the decision to put in a buffer. Not something we like to do unless needed.

So we're 2 years in and now can see the benefits of what we did for this property. The customers home is a constant 20dc and bills that are lower than they could ever had hoped for. Previously never getting above 16dc with wood burner running and eletric pannel heaters. The fear of using there existing heat pumps limited them to running it for 1 hour a day due to it being a 22kw unit😬 and not designed correctly.

With heating giving 5.1 scop, we're delighted. The hot water only giving 2.6 but this is down to the solar diverter reducing its efficiency. But if you under stand why you'll know that's actually a good reason.

1st year service on this retrofit. With over 400% efficiency between heating and hot water the customer is over the moon.

Another installation. This one, we were asked to help in the design only and installation of the heat pump and cylinder. The customer wanted to install the underfloor and the radiator circuit themselves but needed help with the design. We were happy to help in delivering a system that both us and the customer could be proud of. We look forward to seeing the running figures on this one when we service it next year.
