Sometimes we forget to have our systems swept through.
This was a tad tricky to sweep with a brush so I used a power head at 3000rpm and made a huge difference, four passes later and we were good to go.
When you consider it is only £15 more for a power sweep it is well worth the extra.

Yes having your chimney swept is important but burning the correct fuel is equally important.
This unit has been burned 24/7, using soft wood which has high resin content which is not what you want inside the stove or the flue.
The base bars were all out of position so a good strip down and rebuild was in order.
Swept and serviced and rope seal around flue replaced.

Booking the van in for some work and the Garage dog has been rumbled, so much so they have had to write on the bottom of its bowl to stop us all feeding him ! 😂😂😂

One of two units in for its annual sweep and service.
Some boiler stoves which are on 24/7 require a sweep every quarter.
Great time of year to remove the soot from the liners and have it ready for this winter.

Great time of year to have your stove swept and serviced.
New parts ordered and fitted.
Best practice is to have the soot removed as if it sits in the liner it will absorb moisture and cause the liner to ‘pepper’ at the top causing the stove to overdraw and ultimately to fail.
