Today I have set up a challenge for myself, and hopefully a lot of folks would like to jump in on it and help it grow. Due to a lot of things going on around me I need to do something fun whillst also helping me plan ahead for the future. For those of you that don’t know, we rent our little farm in south wales. It has been my home now for 8 years and I absolutely adore it. It is, however, not mine and I know at some point it no longer will be. So rather than worry about the future I am going to work towards it! I am setting up . Over the next 3 years ( longer if it really gets interesting ) I am aiming to get my little sheep ( and other critters) spread all across the world! Starting with right here in the U.K. I’m going to track them on a pin board map of the U.K., then a map of the world, creating a Global, multi species flock of every colour imaginable.🐶🐰🐱🦊🐭🐻🐹🐼🦁🐯🐨🐻❄️🐮🐷🐵🐸🐤🐔🐣🐧🐦🦆🐴🐌🐙🐢🐳🦓🐘 ( you get the idea) I will probably create an fb page where we can all track and document where the critters end up on their travels but for now it starts here, and on TikTok. The money I raise in sales will go towards the future of my little farm, wherever that may take me. To another rental, to some land, something that will help me at least secure the future we have been working towards for the last 8 - 10 years. I realise I have the support, I have the friends, and despite not feeling it sometimes, I have the skill to create a future for us. Everyone says crafters never make enough money to live off, and that is true in many ways! But obviously I will also have farm sales to add to my future, but I’d like to think there’s a little black sheep in all of us and we could definitely all use something a little fun. So here I am being brave and asking for help getting me started ( I am not good at asking for help, ask my mum 🤪🤣) the first 100 mini critters I sell will be £12 inc postage. For those of you that have already purchased a mini critter from me, I would like to retroactively add you to this challenge if you are willing to share a photo and a location! I am lucky that I have recently made some critters for Beth’s wedding so I have those to collate and add too, that have already begun their travels ( I’d like to say too that it was Beth’s wonderful wedding games that inspired the idea!) 🥰😍 I will also do some mini challenges along the way, I have lots of ideas.
