Lot of prep work sanding it down lightly to get rid of the roughness, 1 stain throughout, light sand again to get the stairs like glass and a second stain to finish off. 👌💪👍🙌

Ceiling colour is Borrowed Light. Walls is Wimborne White. All woodwork primed with undercoat and a satin finish.
