Go bold or go home! Snippet from a child’s bedroom I’ve recently completed. The Brief; to use REALLY bright colours, rainbows - nothing subtle! I think I nailed it by pairing Jaipur Pink with window dressings using Cirque Pom Pom Fringe in Confetti / Amalfi Seafoam fabric. More photos to follow (including rainbows etc) 🤣

From new carpet, panelling, coving, joinery, lighting, paint scheme and bay-window curtains this North London drawing room has had a mighty make over. Special mention to the gorgeous fabric Air de Fete schemed with the woodwork colour Tump and contrasted with Fired Biscuit for walls and ceiling by . Finished with a vintage light and bronze wave head curtain fixtures. Oh yes, last but not least a thank you to my wonderful curtain maker .

Inflections were flying with hilarity as we reminisced about boarding school, university, flat sharing and what ever else came our way over the last give or take 40 years. Norfolk Sheila’s weekend did not disappoint.

Beeston Hall that’s a wrap! After 9 wonderful years of educating my girls finally came to an end on Saturday night with Trixie’s Leavers’ Ball. Over the last 3 weeks, we’ve had Sports Day, parents picnics, Leavers’ Reviews, music concerts, speech day and the final celebration of the balll! Thank you for everything!

Refurbishing and renovating a house doesn’t have to be all at once! What greater example of this than a recently completed nursery for clients that I originally designed their new build interiors in 2020. What joy to get the call in the new year, “We’ll be needing a nursery, please help!”. Schemes of deep green paint, Cactus by teamed with the Funny Bunny wallpaper and with a nursery furniture set from make a more modern gender neutral scheme without using the tiredness of beige.

Happy New Year! My only resolution for 2024 was to simply stop…absorb and enjoy the precious time I have with my family. For the past 8 years, I’ve been on a conveyor belt, relentlessly delivering solutions, churning actions, and conducting daily life without ever pausing, or truly soaking up the moment with each of my girl’s key stages. Perhaps it’s the maturity of age 🤦‍♀️, or simply, the adapted ease of combatting stress, but I welcome 2024 with a strength. Time does heal and what better way to celebrate that than baking a cake on the first day of the year with my eldest, sourced from the hundreds of saved Insta recipes that we always wished to bake but never got round to it. Today, we did and it was delicious. Happy New Year. X
