🌻Sunflowers on Monday🌻

There where honestly so many sunflowers I wanted to grow this year and I could have dedicated a whole space to them but I chose to grow a few to see how they grow.

This one is Procut Plum and her colours are just gorgeous! I think others adore her as much as me by the munching evidence on the petals too!

All the sunflowers are really out in force throughout the garden with our tallest reaching 2.6 meters which isn’t bad for this year! There’s always next year to grow bigger I keep telling myself 😂😂

But as for Pro Cut Plum she definitely makes the cut next year!

What’s your favourite sunflower been?

🌶Chillies & Cosmos🌸

The chillies have actually done really well…. I say that with such surprise 😂!
I started all my chillies off January/February time, indoors under lights and heat Mats then when the frosts passes and temperatures in the greenhouse where warm enough they went out there!

I think Lemon Drop & Sweet banana chilli are my favourite in here!

Now what to do with them! ………..

🍬Double Click Rose Bonbon 🍬. Latin name Cosmos Bipinnatus.

She’s completely won my heart this year in the garden! I LOVE her and she will be going into the garden next year!

Sown in March/April this year and I pinched out the tips of the plant when they where around 15-20cm high which encouraged them to bush giving me more flowers and beautiful long stems!

She’s a winner in my eyes 🌟🌟

Roses…… I could ramble on about these beauties for days on end! I adore roses and strangely enough I love every colour of rose apart from red 😂 (I know don’t go mad!)

But this picture Features Desdemona by David Austin kindly to Nature’s Resilience for BBC Gardeners World Live . A huge thanks to Steve Paul and the team at

She’s a beautiful English shrub rose with a strong old rose fragrance, perfect for pots borders and hedges with peachy pink buds opening to chalice shaped white blooms. Every garden needs a Desdemona!

She was one of the stars of the show! 🌟

Tomatoes 🍅…… lots of tomatoes! to last weeks harvest… because you can’t get enough of baskets full of beautiful ripe tomatoes! ❤️

I’ve still got two plants going strong in the greenhouse which will make an appearance next week!

How’s everyone’s tomatoes coming along?

Can you tell I’m in my happy place? 😘

Today has been therapy! Back in the gardens, clearing beds, creating the new herb bed, moving strawberry plants, dead heading, weeding, creating bouquets, watching the girls play in the soil & Eden feeding them worms! I had to off course take a few shameless selfies to capture the moment 😂😂

☀️ The sun has shone all day and I’m feeling a huge sense of accomplishment! 💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️

💚I really needed today because I’ve got a manic week ahead over and I’m about to strap myself in because I’m in final talks in launching another big exciting new venture in build & construction! 👏🏻👏🏻 ➡️Have you had any accomplishments today in the garden or at the plot? 👇🏻👇🏻 let me know below xx

🍬 Sweetpeas 🍬

My absolute favourite edition to the garden 🥰 and we’ve just picked the last bunch of the year I think! These have been a major success and ones which I will certainly add to the list next year!

I started my Sweetpeas last October and done another batch in February this year. The interesting point was my overwintering Sweetpeas where so much more stronger, more productive and had longer stems than my February ones!

So ….. in a few weeks time I will start the sweetpea sowing marathon again! 👉🏻Who’s in!

Tomato Tuesday 🍅💚

Blight set in not only outside but inside the greenhouse too!
So I stripped all the fruits, even the green ones and decided we are making green tomato chutney 💚🙌🏻

I’ve got two plants left inside the greenhouse which I’m hoping I get more harvest from but I’ve learnt so so much this year with varieties, growing, sowing! My tomatoes sown on the 14 February was so much stronger than sown on the 6th March so I think I will try sowing around mid feb next year again. It’s what worked for me but with that each growing year is always different 🥰🥰.

What’s your tomato high & lows? 👇🏻👇🏻

It’s a Wednesday evening Harvest treat!

The garden has gone crazy since I’ve been away and this afternoon I managed to get out to harvest a few goodies but god has the temperatures dropped! The September chill this morning was noticed and I don’t think summers showing it’s face again any time soon! 😂 ……but that’s okay because secretly I love September because I start sowing some beautiful flowers which I will go into later in the week!

I do fear however the tomatoes may be my last because blight has completely taken over which I’m gutted about and the slugs are having a field day on my squash! 🤬🤬😂

💚Soleil F1 courgette
💚Gold Rush courgette
💚Striato D’Italia courgette
💚Crushed Heart tomatoes
💚Amethyst Jewel tomatoes
💚Brads Atomic Grape tomatoes

Happy Tuesday everyone! 😘

Well that was a fabulous whirlwind three weeks at wasn’t it! Throughout the fortnight I’m going to be sharing some gorgeous key plants & flowers from the show but firstly I wanted to share one of our stars of Nature’s Resilience that got ALOT of attention!

❤️Cafe Aú Lait Dahlia❤️
I grew her from tuber (Sarah Raven) starting off at the end of March, repotting on twice, pinching out at 20/25cm but had three very important contributing factors!

💚What did she grow in?
My dahlia was started and repotted in Bio compost by
*PlantGrow Soil Conditioning Natural BIO Mix provides not only the essential nutrients to all plants, but also the vital soil microbes that sustain an enriched and healthy growing medium for strong root growth.

💚How was she watered?
I use this handy little magnetic easy to use gadget on all my on all my plants but my dahlia’s have especially benefited from
*Plantsurge when attached to your hosepipe creates magnetic fields which alters the structure of the water. This effect increases hydration and improves nutrient uptake into the root system, giving healthier, stronger plants! SCROLL➡️for image

💚How was she fed?
I used a weekly feed of all purpose bio stimulant by packed with seaweed & amino acid, endorsed by the
*The natural biostimulants in Empathy AFTER PLANT ALL PURPOSE are taken up by the plant and promote faster and stronger root and shoot growth. They will also promote the development of beneficial bacteria and the mycorrhizal fungi in the soil.
