Yet again, Wakehurst Place, has been my refuge in uncertain & distressing times with what is happening in the world with the Coronavirus. The beauty of nature and the emerging spring blossoms transport one to a different world of beauty and calm.

When the first signs of spring start to appear and the sun has a bit of warmth, it gives one hope of new life and inspires one to take a closer at the beauty that surrounds us.

I have recently visited Wakehurst Place, Sussex, and been so excited to find the most amazing Winter Garden newly designed and layed out. Exceptional winter & early spring colour.

People often think of winter as dull, dreary months in the garden, but with careful thought and planning this need not be so. There are ways to create colour and interest throughout the year.
