We’ve had a few enquiries about the Tennis Courts at Cae Gof.

These courts were transferred by BCBC to the Athletic Club in 2021 as part of the Community Asset transfer of various parts of Cae Gof.

Bringing the tennis courts back into use has been an aspiration since that time, but arranging funding for the work was a challenge.

We have worked with our Community Council to jointly fund the project and have also taken advantage of grant funding that the Community Council was able to access.

I’m glad to say that the tennis courts will be back in use shortly and in addition to tennis, netball and basketball will also be available. The plan is to install the equipment/nets this week and to open as part of the fun day that we have planned at Cae Gof this coming Saturday.

To start off with, the facilities will be open for community use free of charge and without the need to book; we’ll monitor use to see how it goes!

We can’t allow football to be played or organised groups without prior arrangement.

It’s taken an awful lot of effort to bring these courts back into use, so we do hope that villagers will respect them.
