Rowan Cafe is temporarily closed while I and my fellow director of Rowan Garden Centre conduct a review of workplace behaviour raised by a few of our colleagues in the cafe.
The company has worked tirelessly in the past 16 years to offer employment opportunities locally, especially for younger people, and we are incredibly proud to have grown our workforce from 5 to 42 in that period, and developed those who have and continue to work with us.
As we undertake our review I can assure you that the welfare and wellbeing of our staff is our main priority.
We want all our colleagues to be proud to work for Rowan and provide exemplary service to our valued customers in all aspects of our business.
The Garden Centre remains open every day and I hope that we will re-open the cafe in the not too distant future as I know what a vibrant and important social role it plays within the local community.
