The Met Gala 2026: Is Stone the New Red? 🏛️🌿
This year’s carpet isn’t red—it’s a Renaissance-inspired stone garden pathway. By swapping the traditional velvet for a hand-painted “stone” design with moss-green accents, the design team created a sense of “simplicity of modernity” that allowed the fashion to truly act as art.
In the design world, we call this Design—bringing the organic, “lived-in” textures of the outdoors inside to create a romantic, immersive atmosphere. We love seeing high fashion embrace the raw, timeless aesthetic of natural stone.
