✨ Goodbye 2025 – What a Year It’s Been! ✨

As the year comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on just how much we’ve packed into 2025.

📸 These photos give a glimpse into the year, but behind them are countless boilers repaired, a huge number of boilers and fireplaces installed, and many homes made warmer and more comfortable.

It’s also been a year of growth and learning.
We’ve been on the road attending conferences to better understand sales and marketing funnels, and diving into AI and new technology to see how we can use it to improve the way we run the business and look after our customers.

👨‍🔧 Connor is finishing his final year as an apprentice – an incredible achievement and a real credit to the hard work he’s put in.
💪 Bam is doing brilliantly and settling in as a valued member of the team.
⭐ Joanne, as always, has been an absolute superstar – keeping everything organised and running like clockwork behind the scenes.

And me… I do this for family 😁
When you support a small business, you’re supporting a family.
Your money pays for school shoes, dinners, and keeping the lights on at home – and that support truly means everything to me.

🚀 Looking ahead to 2026
Next year we’ll be launching our online booking system and continuing to develop our internal systems so we can offer even better customer service and an even smoother experience for our customers.

❄️ WINTER HEATING TIPS – KEEP YOUR HOME WARM & YOUR BOILER HAPPY! ❄️
As the cold weather sets in, we see the same common boiler issues popping up — but the good news is, many of them are easy to fix yourself. Here are a few quick tips to help keep your heating running smoothly this winter:

🔥 1. Frozen Condensate Pipe?
If your boiler suddenly stops working in freezing weather, there’s a good chance your condensate pipe has frozen.
This pipe usually runs outside and can build up ice, causing your boiler to lock out.

👉 How to fix it:
• Pour warm (NOT boiling) water over the outside pipe to gently melt the ice.
• Once thawed, reset your boiler and it should fire back into life.
Tip: A hot water bottle wrapped around the pipe also works really well if you prefer a no-spill option!

🔧 2. Low Boiler Pressure?
Your boiler pressure should normally sit at around 1.0 bar when the system is cold.
If it drops too low, your heating may stop working.

👉 How to top up the pressure:
• Use your filling loop (usually located underneath the boiler).
• Every boiler is slightly different, so for a quick guide, type your boiler make & model into YouTube — you’ll find plenty of clear how-to videos.

🌀 3. Bleeding Radiators
If some rooms are cooler or your radiators are cold at the top, they may need bleeding.
This removes trapped air and helps your system run more efficiently.
(Just remember to check your pressure again afterwards!)

🧼 4. Check Outdoor Vents & Flues
Snow, leaves or debris can block airflow and cause your boiler to shut down.
A quick visual check keeps things running safely.

💡 5. Thermostat Battery Check
If your heating isn’t turning on when programmed, your room thermostat may just need new batteries — one of the most common winter issues.
