Of course the customer could have opted for a full roof replacement but chose to work with what they have - better for the environment with less waste, less new materials and once installed less energy to keep it warm or cool.

Apparently this one will become a kitchen!!! That’s not usually what we see (although we have before). Looking forward completing the first step of that transformation with an insulated ceiling. Ensuring it is correctly fitted, well sealed and properly ventilated will be key.
Vamos!! Let’s get cracking!!!!

Taking the opportunity to pop in and see a previous customer yesterday…. Even in this cold, miserable weather they can still have the doors open to the rest of the house now they have an insulated ceiling fitted by ourselves. In the customer’s very own words, ‘… I kept turning the light on last night just to have a little look haha…’

It’s that time of year when our customers can relax in their nice and comfortable, warm conservatories having had an insulated ceiling installed by ourselves. Looking up at the decorations without icicles (I’ve seen it!) and frost on them, relaxing in the warmth that isn’t escaping through the inefficient glass or polycarbonate roof panels.
Speaking of relaxing, I’m very sorry if our communications are delayed over the next few weeks - we will be taking a little break from installing insulated ceilings. As much as I can I will be responding to emails and enquiries. Stay safe, stay warm and enjoy the Christmas break!!

Day 2. Finished insulating and getting ready to add the battens to take the plasterboard.

Customer - ‘If you see someone else around today it’s the plumber. The boiler stopped working last night so we have no hot water or heating’
Me - ‘That’s not good right now!’
Customer - ‘It was still warm in here last night though!! I really noticed it.’

I’m not saying you don’t need heating but your conservatory could be warmer for winter too.

Monday morning, and all ready to crack on!!
First job here is to replace the tie bar covers and centre boss as the sun has done a tip top job of destroying the plastic to the point where you look at it and it crumbles off!!!
Imagine what that sun blazing through the glass does to your floors and furnishings…..🤔

No matter, we’ll soon have that sorted!

And another one done!! Just in time for the frost that descended upon us this morning. Noticeably, although the conservatory didn’t have any fitted heating, popping my heater on for barely five minutes warmed it right up so I had a comfortable work environment to get it finished. As well as the endless cups of quality coffee!!
All it needs is for the fresh plaster to dry out and it’s ready for paint.
Now to get my (not small by any stretch) materials delivery in and the van ready for another insulated conservatory ceiling next week.

Well, it may be that it’s bright and beautiful out there - but it’s also very chilly!!
Aside from some dodgy electrics (yep, we’ll sort that) this conservatory has quite the condensation issue.

The warm moist air from the house is contacting the cold roof panels and dripping onto the wooden window boards staining them as well as promoting mould growth.

We’ll have that sorted and eliminated over the next few days with an expertly fitted ProCeiling insulated ceiling.
