Who is Passion for Painting?
It's the new year, 7 years on, it seems like a good time to say "Hi!" And introduce myself. I am Lauren. I would like to show the driving power behind it all. At the bare bones of it all, I am a Christian. My faith plays a massive part in the power of my business, as it does in my life. That does not mean i am against any other view, its for me. It helps keep me humble, not chasing money, not diving into depression when things get hard and a wanting to do right in the world. A business will so easily eat you up and spit you out emotionally, physically and spiritually at the end of your life. I believe you need something more than people or posessions to support you in that.
Passion for Painting was established in January 2019 by myself. After a journey of training in decorating with different companies and a year gaining a level 2 qualification at college.
When you start building a business from nothing at all, it's hard to know where to start. My vision then was to build a happy client base of trust, communication, completing one job at a time to keep chaos to a minimum, and a trades person who is calm, collected who can overcome any obstacle.
It is incredibly hard to find trades that are trust worthy, its a vulnerable feeling leaving them in your home. I wanted to change that for all clients who have had bad experiences in the past, which seems to be a very common occurrence now. It doesn't matter who you are or what you have, my attitude, approach, and prices do not change because of who you are, only for what the job is.
I am not a big business for a good reason.
I never wanted many people under me because that allows for disconnection to our established business relationship. It also will gradually build more chaos for me and potentially clients or fine details slipping through the cracks. I tend to have a specific way of working, and I like to achieve a certain standard of job. Something of which is hard to instill into others. As a result, this means jobs aren't speedy, my priority is happy clients and a business that runs itself, year in, year out.
