PLEASE READ
After a lot of thought, sadly the time has come to close the doors forever on our little houseplant shop.
I started The Aroid Attic 7 years ago and fresh out of university (& a little bit lost in the world if I’m being honest). I am coming up to my 30th birthday next year and if you asked me back then where I would be now, I would never have thought I would have achieved all that I have. That is mostly thanks to this little shop, its customers and fellow businesses we have worked with over the years.
I have had a wonderful time on Bath Road and from the moment we put our ‘We’re Opening’ poster up, the support from the community both locally and online has been phenomenal and I’ll forever be grateful to you.
I’ve included some pics on this post but I ran out of room so couldn’t include everything 😅 My dog, Arnold, is in the second picture during the one and only time he has been in the shop when I was setting up to open!
I can’t not also give a shout out to the wonderful Lorna, who although left working in shop in September, has always supported ‘our little shop’ like it were her own.
Please do come in and say goodbye, this is the closing of a chapter in my life and I would really love to have one last plant-y chat in the shop with everyone who has made it possible.
One thing I’d like to finish on, it really is more important than ever to try and shop at small businesses. Christmas is the perfect opportunity but whenever you can it really does mean the world. That one extra sale on a random Tuesday creates a huge knock-on effect and keeps your local community going, and trust me when I say we really appreciate you coming to us small businesses.
Last day is to be confirmed, but what is in the shop now is it so come and support us whilst you can!
Lots of plant love, Charlotte x
