In 2019 just 38 companies were cleared by HMRC to become Employee Owned - including us, taking the total to a little over 300. Today there are nearly 2500.

Being Employee-Owned is a core part of our identity.

We don't use Facebook much, and it's more of a 'corporate' tone than advertising/marketing, but thank you to all our amazing customers and staff.

We're proud and grateful that our advertising budget since becoming Employee-Owned in 2019 is £0 but this winter we've pushed the boat out and had some flyers printed (thanks Orbitpress Ltd ). We often get asked (usually by neighbours of customers) about our winter pruning - wisteria and orchards etc. All pics of our customers' wisterias. One chap in Beaconsfield said he'd waited 40 years to find someone who can look after his wisterias like we can! 😊

Some pretty spectacular website problems this week - we're not ruling out operator error, but we'll need a professional intervention. Thankfully we're rammed for work so don't need new enquiries, but we will get it sorted. Emails working fine-ish.

We want someone to lead our new lawn care 'division' - is that you? You must have extensive experience doing exactly that.

After years of being asked by our lovely customers, we're rolling out our flexible lawncare programme. We've been working with a couple of 'Grass Nerds' and a specialist treatment manufacturer and have undertaken a trial in a small number of gardens. Like our maintenance, if we're doing it, we're doing it properly!

Lawncare is exclusively for our regular maintenance customers, even if someone else (or you) cuts the grass.

In the words of the organisers "you are already an active advocate for inclusivity" awe shucks ☺️ but it's nice to know we get noticed for how we do what we do.

We think the free lunch might have something to do with it!

Applications might officially be closed for our apprenticeships, but we're always looking for amazing people. If that's you, and an apprenticeship is of interest, we'll make it happen!

We're a company 30 years in the making and in 2019 became Employee-Owned. We're looking to build the next generation of plant experts. We maintain over 300 private gardens, including some of the region’s most prestigious and iconic properties. Working in the gardens of our customers around Chesham, Amersham, Beaconsfield & Gerrards Cross.

You will learn on the ground, paired with one of our existing team leaders. Initially your tasks will include; Cutting Grass, Edging and Maintaining beds, Pruning, Leaf blowing, Strimming, Hedge trimming, Planting, Tidying up for other operatives.

Then one day a week (Wednesday) studying at BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture).

We're a diverse and neuro-diverse group (disability confident) and expect all employees to fit in. You must be well presented and speak English clearly.

There will be elements of study that require a reasonable standard of English & Maths but, beyond that, we are more interested in your work ethic.

Apprenticeship Opportunity! If we find someone special, we'll run another apprenticeship, studying at BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) one day a week from September (but of course you can start learning in gardens sooner).
