When Ben & Andi were dreaming up the concept of what Bohème was going to be, their love for all types of design is something they both feel incredibly passionate about and it was always going to take someone special to harness & channel this.
Andi was aware of Jamesâ work through the restaurant industry and wanted no one else. Ben was friends with James and wanted to use someone he trusted.
Both, totally unaware of each other knowing James for totally different reasons!
So when it came time to discuss who was going to design, it was a very short conversation of: âwe want James Roberts, right?!â
James is a very talented, multi-award winning designer & Chester resident (plus one of the most lovely people we have ever met).
Among his notable accolades has been winning âBest Restaurant Interiorâ with the Mana project that helped bring the Michelin Star back to Manchester in 2019.
He has also seen his designs feature at the Louvre, Nike, boat houses in Windermere, Villas in the Balearics & more locally at the Grosvenor Estate & part of the SuperTrees project.
His discipline and passion is evident in the work he does and also in the monumental sporting activities he takes part in.
He is also the most patient man having sat through hours and hours of redesigns, going down the rabbit hole of ideas and back out the other side with us.
James really embodies the Bohème spirit of thinking outside the box and willing to take a risk when the industry or cultural norms point in a differing direction.
We look forward to sharing some images in the coming weeks of his designs and also welcoming you all into building we have all poured so many hours into every little nook that we will all be so proud to welcome you as guests.
