A playroom we freshened up this week in Sheffield , it had a feature wall stripped of old tired wallpaper and replaced with new. All walls filled and sanded then repainted in Amazon mist colour by Dulux and finally all woodwork undercoated and finished in Dulux diamond satinwood in white

As we mentioned before we were rather busy over Christmas painting our own kitchen. We've even sanded the worktops and given it a protective top coat. We picked Benjamin Moore Rolling Hills for the cabinet doors and put our faith in the Designers choice of pairing it with Bakers Dozen on the walls. We've finished it off with new handles and bringing in the new dresser to match the rest of the kitchen.

A job we completed this week, turning the red walls to a bright fresh green and papered feature wall. The customer provided the paint for this job, Lick. We use Lick brushes and paint trays and sheeting which is all eco friendly.

Not posted in a while, just thought I'd share a home project. We've recently moved house and changed the living/diner space from stark white walls to Vintage Vogue and Soot by Benjamin Moore. The quality of this paint is unreal. Super chuffed with the results. Only downside, the Mrs now wants the other completed rooms in Benjamin Moore.

It's all the prep work!

You'll see from our recent job how much work goes into prepping the walls and ceilings to make them as smooth as possible for the best finish possible.

We fill all imperfections on walls and ceilings with caulk and filler and then once dry we sand the areas down using our dustless sanding system. This helps to smooth all of those imperfections away.

At Perkins Painting and Decorating we always aim to make sure our customers surfaces are primed and ready to leave the best possible finish by their chosen paint type.

Another job we completed in Oakworth recently.
The customer wanted to add in their own picture rail to their daughters bedroom. We did all of the filling and caulking and then sanded all of the walls using our dustless sanding system. The walls, ceiling and woodwork then had a repaint in the customers chosen colours.

Here's a kitchen unit we completed recently, a request which is fast becoming really popular. Firstly, we removed all handles and filled any holes that needed filling, we then sanded the areas that needed followed by a full wash and wipe down. We applied 2 coats of a specialist primer and then 3 coats of Benjamin Moore's Timid White in a semi gloss anti chip finish. The customers also wanted the rest of their kitchen/diner freshening up so we stripped their feature wallpaper, filled any gaps/cracks/holes and used our dustless sanding system to smooth out the wall. We then applied 2 coats of Dulux Heritage paint.

I know we've been a little quiet lately, but it's been so busy and taking pictures of completed jobs hasn't been high on the list. Here's a hallway we completed a couple of weeks ago, the customers wanted smooth, clear and brighter walls. The walls were rough, uneven in texture and colour. So to smoothen the walls we filled and caulked any gaps/cracks/holes and then used our dustless sanding system to remove any lumps/bumps and old roller/brush marks. Then we applied 2 coats of contract white matt emulsion to give an even base coat before applying 2 coats of Dulux Diamond Matt emulsion for extra durability in a high traffic area. The customer wished to have the woodwork done at a later date once they have decided the finish they'd like.
