⛑️ Get hands‑on with real emergency skills at our Emergency Services Day on Saturday 15 August!

You’ll be able to try CPR practice, first aid instruction, and speak to representatives from Derbyshire Fire & Rescue, St John Ambulance, PCSOs, the RNLI, British Red Cross, and Derbyshire 4x4 Response.

You’ll also be able to get photos with historic vehicles and kids’ uniforms from the National Emergency Services Museum.

🐾 Get ready to go wild at Chesterfield On Safari!

On Saturday 22 August from 11am to 3pm animatronic animals will take over New Square!

Activities during the event include:

🦍 See gorillas, chimps, orangutans, hippos, rhinos and even a lion

🚂 Puffin Billy is turning 50 this year!

We’ll be celebrating with two fantastic events in August – will you be joining us?

On 18 August, we’ll be hosting a family fun day where you can create your own train to be entered into our golden anniversary competition to win a prize. Young riders will also be given a sweet treat when taking a ride on the train.

Then on 19 August, we’ll be hosting an engine showcase where you’ll be able to walk around the track and get up close with some fantastic examples of miniature engines from all around the country.
