Can you see my vision or am I just becoming a grandma? 👵

I was hitting a bit of blank wall for decorating our snug and I think it was because all the styled rooms you see are too perfect and match well. I want mismatched, print & patterns and more things!

Basically I want this space to feel homely, surrounded by the collection of my books and stuff that make us, well us because that’s what homely feels like to me 📚

How would you decorate this room?

I’m finally ready to tackle the snug and weirdly it was probably the most liveable space out of the whole house but it’s taken 18 months to get here 🫣

Putting up the stud wall to allow for pocket doors has really been a game changer in how we use our house and space. It’s meant we have a cosy room in the evenings or a nice big open space for entertaining (it was very useful for the magician show we had for Tilly’s birthday)

But the white that I quickly painted at Christmas time has honestly felt too stark, which is probably why I never got round to painting the rest of that bright orange or the MDF cupboards and shelves. But it’s finally all painted and primed and ready to go.

I may have some ideas up my sleeve but I’m curious to see what you all think?

Would it shock you to know that I couldn’t make anymore design decisions let alone pick up a paintbrush?

You’ll have noticed recently if you’ve been a long time follower that my content had changed from all these exciting transformations to just everyday life and my garden. Well this is why!

I still love our home, I still love design, I still love designing our home. But I was exhausted. I couldn’t talk about paint, what we did, why we did it. I was gatekeeping everything because I needed to just rest my mind on something else.

After months of planning and waking up in the middle of the night and scribbling notes for the builders, thinking where the electrics were going to go and what colour I should paint something I decided to do something crazy and you know, just live in it!

But I’m back, inside, ready to share our home again. So if there’s something you’ve missed, want to know more about, or just want to drop me a lovely friendly comment (I like those ones) then please do!

ad🌱 My dream garden is finally incoming with a little bit of help

I’ve never felt more like I’m living in the future with a Robot Lawnmower. Can you imagine what the original owners from the 1930s would think?

This is the LUBA mini 2 AWD from

It maps out your garden using a combination of satellite NetRTK and a tri-camera AI vision system basically it does it all remotely so no perimeter wires are needed. You can map out areas to avoid, for example water or in my case my newly laid lawn seed

The all-wheel-drive can be used on slopes up to 80% incline. My flower beds aren’t as steep as this but it does a great job of trimming the grass right to the edge

I absolutely love the sensors as it means it avoids any animals, children and the numerous toys the girls leave out

For our front garden you can simply place and use the remote control to manually mow

Its honestly transformed our garden in such a short amount of time and it now means I can focus on the bigger job of planting my cottage garden of dreams 🌸🌷☀️

I could do with your help and opinions please!

I’ve added some photos at the very end showing a few options of what colour to paint our cabin. I’ll be honest I’ve reached complete design fatigue and I cannot decide between white, cream or a soft yellow. Any other opinions welcome!

18 months on it’s amazing how different our garden now looks, especially when we started building during summer last year and it went through a whole year of seasons ☀️🌱❄️💧☔️ I’m not going to lie, that rain nearly made me want to pack it all in. So happy we persevered and we now have an office for Tim to work from. I just need to make the garden look pretty now!

We used the Bailey Bros from Brighton for the build and for the cabin. Highly recommend both if you’re local to Brighton ☀️
